The Lost City itself is amazing, in the middle of no where these sandstone 'structures' do resemble what could have been a lost city. For the photographer it is fantastic. The Lost City is accessible with a 4WD only. The turnoff to this destination is off Litchfield park road on your right hand side a few kilometres past the Florence falls turnoff heading towards Tolmer falls. Check the road conditions first, as the road may still be closed after the wet season.

The Lost City. Litchfield is known for its 4WD trails - The Lost City, Tjaynera Creek and Surprise Creek Falls are the best 4WD tracks. Unfortunately, Tjaynera Creek and Surprise Creek Falls were closed when we were there, so we tackled The Lost City. As the name suggests, the highlight of this track is the sandstone formations that resemble.
